The client is a leading financial institution and this person will be responsible for the development, integration and management of security operating procedures for a public sector, multi-system environment. This person will be expected to complete all related deliverables, on time and on budget.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the existing Information Security department and make any policy, procedure, or standards changes to ensure compliance with industry standard practices.
• Ensure staffing levels remain appropriate for the level of work and that they have the necessary technical and professional skills to perform their job.
• Interact with IT Audit, IT Senior Management, IT Risk Officer, Line-of-Business, and regulatory agencies to address any Information Security related issues.
• Present regular status reports to executive management regarding the IT Security risks and measures being taken to mitigate them.
  

Skills:

• 8+ years experience in a leadership capacity supporting security program management or security operations management.
• Ability to understand and translate pre-established policy, standards and compliance regulations.
• Ability to understand and apply assessment and audit components to security controls that measure performance, reliability and compliance.
• Experience implementing security programs and controls based on ISO17799 and NIST 800 Series.

Education/Experience:
An Postgraduate with exceptional managerial and professional skills with 8+ years of increased responsibilities in the field of IT and Information Security. CISSP, CEH Preferred.
