The Engineer must be able to provide configuration, support and operational maintenance of network security technologies to ensure continuous availability of secured network services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Day to day configuration of Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and VPN technologies to support internal and external connectivity needs.
- Documentation of network designs and configurations as part of a detailed audit compliance requirement.
- Maintain a highly reliable internet and extranet environment.
- Deploy repeatable network security solutions, and create innovative network security solutions to meet new demands.
- Assist the LAN/WAN network design and operations teams on complex troubleshooting exercises.
Skills:
- Minimum 4-6 years paid-experience administering networks security in cross platform system environments.
- Minimum 3 years experience in planning, deployment, and maintenance of firewall, proxy, gateway and IDS technologies.
- Knowledge and experience in deployment and maintenance of large-scale wireless networks and wireless network security.
- Ability to think in a logical and systematic way to solve problems, incorporate suggestions and create solutions.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Cisco CCNP, CCSP or CCIE certification preferred. Checkpoint CCSE certification will be added advantage.
