The client is looking for a full time position, will be responsible for establishing the strategic and tactical direction for the Information Security department. This includes ensuring that all necessary security policies, procedures and standards are developed, implemented and adhered to.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the existing Information Security department and make any policy, procedure, or standards changes to ensure compliance with industry standard practices.
• Ensure staffing levels remain appropriate for the level of work and that they have the necessary technical and professional skills to perform their job.
• Interact with IT Audit, IT Senior Management, IT Risk Officer, Line-of-Business, and regulatory agencies to address any Information Security related issues.
• Present regular status reports to executive management regarding the IT Security risks and measures being taken to mitigate them.
  

Skills:

• Experience and knowledge of banking regulatory issues and their impact on security systems.
• Experience with IBM mainframe, UNIX, Tandem, Windows environments and associated IT security demands. 
• Experience working with IT Audit and regulatory agencies. 
• Professional membership in IT Security related associations. 

Education/Experience:
An Undergraduate with exceptional technical, managerial and professional skills with 10+ years of increased responsibilities in the field of IT and Information Security. CISSP Preferred.
