Job Description
The IT Security group of a major investment bank is looking for individuals to join the Investigations team. Investigations center around the forensically sound collection of data from the Firm’s electronic systems (eg email, Instant messaging, Internet downloading, file usage, etc.) This data is retrieved, analysed, and the results are provided to parties both internal and external to the Firm. This role will be performing multiple hands-on eDiscovery, forensic investigations and team projects on a day to day basis. This role will also help to perform security research and manage incident response to computer security threats.
The successful candidate will need to be well organized, logical, a strong communicator, detail orientated, demonstrate good judgment, be confident working independently, has good integrity and comfortable with the handling of confidential information. This role involves extensive interaction with colleagues both internal and external to IT including Legal, Corporate Security, Human Resources, Information Security, IT Security, Distributed Services, various Engineering teams, business and product management groups.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of working experience in IT, preferably in the IT Security industry
- Strong technical skills and working experience with the Windows environment, and preferably across a wide range of other technology platforms
- Experience in performing Computer Forensics and Incident Response investigations as well as a deep technical understanding of associated tools and methodologies including technical experience with Windows and Unix
- Strong spoken and written English
- Detail Orientated and Analytical, Strong Organizational Skills, Strong Communication Skills, Judgment and Integrity
Skills Desired:
- Experience in using IT Forensic tools and IT Security
- Working experience in Financial banks or dealing with Asian regulatory related matters
- Technical experience in Unix, Linux or network
- Good Cantonese, Mandarin and other Asian languages
